SERIE RESEARCH mEmORMIDR THEORETICAL FOUNDATIONS FOR THE 3-C MODEL A.H.Q.M. Merkies

چکیده
Alonso (1978) and Bikker (1982) independently introducé the Three Component (3-C) model. This is a model to explain and predict flows between origins and destinations. It generalizes many existing models, such as the gravity model. This generality is attained through so-called "systemic variables". Unfortunately, the interpretation of these variables, and hence that of the 3-C model, have remained somewhat elusive. In this paper, we derive two interpretations, by relating the 3-C model to economie and statistical theory respectively. Department of Econometrics, Free University, P.O. SERIE RESEARCH mEmORMIDR A SYNTHESIS BETWEEN MACRO AND MICRO MODELS IN SPATIAL INTERACTION ANALYSIS, WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO DYNAMICS
This paper deals with the correspondence between macro and micro spatial interaction and choice models, in both a static and a dynamic context. After a review of recent literature, special attention is devoted to the interpretation of aggregate spatial interaction models (both the conventional gravity or entropy models and the more general theory of movement devëloped by Alonso) in the framewor...

One of the main concerns of managers today is the empowerment of human resources and their application to knowledge-based companies. The ultimate goal of this research, based on the strategy of exploratory mix methods, was to create and test the grounded theory about the process. A model that was based on theoretical studies and analysis of deep interviews with knowledge base experts was design...
متن کاملTheoretical Foundations
This chapter addresses the theoretical foundations for research in educational communications and technology. Four relevant areas are explored: (1) the psychology of learning, (2) communications theory, (3) human–computer interaction, and (4) instructional design and development. Past work in these four areas can be viewed as providing a theoretical foundation for further research and developme...
